# Get energy summary

Returns what charging cost at a location in one calendar month: the total, the cost per 100 km and, for the current month, the expected total. It adds up the sessions of [Get transaction energy](https://developer.plugchoice.com/api-reference/energy/get-transaction-energy.md) that started in that month, in the location's own time.

You need access to the location's charging data and Plugchoice Plus. Without Plus the answer is `403` with `reason` `plus_required`.

**site** `string` *required*

The UUID of the location.

**month** `string`

The month as `YYYY-MM`. Defaults to the current month.

The month, as `YYYY-MM`.

**currency** `string`

`EUR`, `GBP` for a location in the United Kingdom, or `null` when no session has a cost.

**sessions** `integer`

The number of sessions that started in the month and have been calculated.

**sessions\_with\_cost** `integer`

How many of them have a cost.

**kwh** `number`

The energy of all sessions, in kWh.

**cost** `number`

The total cost of the sessions that have one, or `null` when none has.

**cost\_per\_100\_km** `number`

The cost per kWh of those sessions times `consumption_kwh_per_km` times 100, or `null`.

**consumption\_kwh\_per\_km** `number`

The consumption per km used for `cost_per_100_km`: the average of all electric cars in the EV Database.

**forecast\_cost** `number`

Only for the current month: the cost so far divided by the days of the month so far (today included), times the days in the month. `null` for other months or without a cost.

**solar\_share** `number`

The part of the energy from solar panels, from 0 to 1, over the sessions that have one, or `null`.

**co2\_g** `number`

The CO2 of the grid energy in grams, over the sessions that have it, or `null`.

**co2\_avoided\_g** `number`

The CO2 avoided compared with a petrol car, in grams, or `null`.

**null\_reasons** `object`

The number of sessions without a cost per reason, for example `{"contract_incomplete": 2}`. The reasons are those of `null_reason` on a session.

**contract\_complete** `boolean`

Whether the energy contract of the location is complete. When it is `false`, ask the user to finish it.
