# Get Command Exchange

Returns a command sent to a charger, the charger's answer, and the messages the command asked for that the charger sent within 60 seconds after it. A `TriggerMessage` is answered with only `Accepted`; the data it asks for, such as `MeterValues` or `StatusNotification`, arrives as a message of its own. Works for OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1.

The command is the `method` sent to the charger closest to `sent_at`, up to two minutes before or after it.

**charger** `string` *required*

The UUID of the charger.

**method** `string` *required*

The OCPP action of the command, for example `TriggerMessage`.

**sent\_at** `string` *required*

When the command was sent, as an ISO 8601 timestamp.

## Response

**command** `object`

The command as logged, with the same fields as an entry of [List Logs](https://developer.plugchoice.com/api-reference/ocpp-logs/list-charger-logs.md). `null` when no such command is in the log, for example because it is not logged yet.

**follow\_ups** `object[]`

The messages of the asked-for types the charger sent within the window, oldest first, with the same fields as an entry of List Logs. At most 50.

**follow\_up\_methods** `string[]`

The actions the command asks the charger to send: the `requestedMessage` of a `TriggerMessage` or `ExtendedTriggerMessage`, `NotifyReport` after `GetBaseReport` or `GetReport`, `NotifyMonitoringReport` after `GetMonitoringReport`, `ReportChargingProfiles` after `GetChargingProfiles`, `NotifyDisplayMessages` after `GetDisplayMessages`, and `NotifyCustomerInformation` after `CustomerInformation`. Empty for a command that asks for none.

**window\_seconds** `integer`

How long after the command a message counts as its result: 60.

**window\_open** `boolean`

Whether asking again can still turn up more: the window has not passed, or the command may still be logged.
