# code-invalid

> The sign-in code doesn't match, or it expired.

## Where you see it

Only inside the hosted flow, which handles it. You don't need to handle it in your app or on your server.

## What it means

A code lives 10 minutes, allows three tries and works once. A new code replaces the earlier ones.

## What to do

Nothing.
