# consent-required

> Your user's consent is needed before a charger is added.

## Where you see it

Only inside the hosted flow, which handles it. You don't need to handle it in your app or on your server.

## What it means

In a link session for one of your users (`external_user_id`), the hosted flow first shows the consent screen.

Adding a charger, or signing in to Zaptec, before your user agreed is refused. The hosted flow always asks first, so your user never sees this.
