# scope-missing

> Your grant on your user's charger doesn't include what this link session needs.

| Status | Title |
| - | - |
| `403` | Control of this charger is needed |

## Where you see it

When the SDK starts a link session (`setup`, `reconnect` or another action that isn't `add`) on a charger in your user's own Plugchoice account.

## What it means

Your integration reaches that charger through the grant your user gave it, with the consent scopes they agreed to. Working on the charger changes it, which needs `charger:control`. Your grant doesn't include it: your user kept control with another app, or your client session didn't ask for it. `missing` lists the scopes that are needed.

## What to do

Start an `add` link session for the same user with `charger:control` in `consent_scopes`. Your user shares the charger again there and can give your app control. Then start the link session on the charger again.

## Example

```json theme={null}
{
  "type": "https://developer.plugchoice.com/sdk/errors/scope-missing",
  "title": "Control of this charger is needed",
  "status": 403,
  "code": "scope-missing",
  "detail": "Your customer didn't give your integration control of this charger (`charger:control`), which `setup` needs. A new `add` link session can ask for it.",
  "missing": ["charger:control"]
}
```
