# sign-in-code-required

> Checking a code or creating the account before a code proved the address.

## Where you see it

Only inside the hosted flow, which handles it. You don't need to handle it in your app or on your server.

## What it means

The hosted flow mails a code to the address first (`POST /session/sign-in`). A code only counts for that address, and a new account must be created within 30 minutes of checking the code.

## What to do

Nothing.
