# sign-in-required

> Your user signs in to their Plugchoice account before adding a charger.

| Status | Title |
| - | - |
| `409` | Sign in first |

## Where you see it

Only inside the hosted flow, which handles it. You don't need to handle it in your app or on your server.

## What it means

When your integration adds chargers to your users' own Plugchoice accounts, your user signs in to their account (or creates one) first. Picking where the charger goes and registering it wait until they have.

## What to do

Nothing. The hosted flow asks your user to sign in.

## Example

```json theme={null}
{
  "type": "https://developer.plugchoice.com/sdk/errors/sign-in-required",
  "title": "Sign in first",
  "status": 409,
  "code": "sign-in-required",
  "detail": "The customer signs in to their Plugchoice account before adding a charger."
}
