# site-required

> An add needs a site, because the client session reaches several.

| Status | Title |
| - | - |
| `422` | Pick a site |

## Where you see it

* **Your app's result**, when the hosted flow can't start.
* Your user first sees "This page didn't open properly".

## What it means

Your app opened `add` without a site. The client session's scope names several `sites` and no `location` or `new_site`, so it's unclear where the charger should go.

## What to do

Do one of these:

* Open `add` with a site (`.addCharger(siteId:)`, `LinkAction.addCharger(siteId)`, `{ action: 'add', siteId }`).
* Scope the client session to the one site.

## Example

```json theme={null}
{
  "type": "https://developer.plugchoice.com/sdk/errors/site-required",
  "title": "Pick a site",
  "status": 422,
  "code": "site-required",
  "detail": "This client session reaches several sites: name one (`site_id`)."
}
```
