# two-factor-invalid

> The code from the authenticator app, or the recovery code, doesn't match.

## Where you see it

Only inside the hosted flow, which handles it. You don't need to handle it in your app or on your server.

## What it means

Your user's account has two-factor authentication. The code comes from their authenticator app; a recovery code works once.

## What to do

Nothing.
