# unsupported-device-type

> The client session asks for a device type the SDK API doesn't support yet.

## Where you see it

**Your server**, on `POST /client-sessions`.

## What it means

`device_type` is something other than `charger`. Chargers are the only devices Link connects today.

## What to do

Send `"device_type": "charger"`, or leave the field out: `charger` is the default.
