Adding a meter reader
1
The model
Your user picks their reader by its picture.
2
The code
The QR code is on the side of the reader. Your user scans it with the phone’s camera, or types the code on the sticker. In a browser, they type it.
3
The first readings
Link waits until Chargee has a reading from the meter. When there is none, it says why, for example that the reader isn’t in the P1 port. Then it asks for the main fuse when the site has no load balancing yet.
-
Chargee shares the meter first. Plugchoice knows a Chargee reader once Chargee has shared it. A code Plugchoice doesn’t know yet says so (
meter-not-found), and your user can check the code and try again. -
One account per meter. A reader that’s already connected to another account stays there (
identity-taken). - The reader’s own setup (its Wi-Fi, its place on the P1 port) happens in the Chargee app, before or after Link.
